LIFESTYLE BATHROOMS
The curious thing about bathroom ads is they invariably show delightfully crafted pictures of sassy white baths, gleaming chrome taps, squeaky-clean shower screens, disturbingly vacant semi-clad models. And a total lack of realism.
Alternatively, they’re mundane stack-‘em-high, sell-‘em-cheap retail tosh.
One tap is much the same as any other – well, they all deliver water don’t they?
So is a bath, or a sink, or a loo for that matter. Consequently, a sales hook had to be worked into this campaign to allow the product to elbow its way above the plethora of all other showroom ads.
Time to include one of the tried-and-tested ‘get me noticed’ catalysts: a cute toddler doing what all toddlers do best – fiddling, feeling and enquiring.
A sizeable amount of re-branding was required, along with lashings of in-store photography and hey presto, it was ‘loofers away’.
